Charles Kreger was born in 1959 in Klein, Texas. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1982 from the University of Houston. In 1985, he received a Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree from South Texas College of Law. His legal experience emphasized general civil litigation, from both prosecution and defense, as well as family law, as a member of a small law firm and solo practitioner, in courts all across the State of Texas. He was elected to the position of Justice of the Ninth Court of Appeals, Place 2, in 2004, and re-elected in 2010.
Justice Kreger has been married to his wife since 1977. They have two adult children.
Justice Kreger is a past director of the Montgomery County Bar Association and the Woodlands Bar Association, and he has served on the boards of various civic organizations.
